Journey & Establishment

Happy Child Development and Rehabilitation Centre was established on November 4th, 2019, by a Gayatri Devi T who faced firsthand the challenges of raising a child with special needs. In her search for appropriate therapy for her son who is a child with special needs, she quickly realized the lack of proper facilities and qualified therapists in Vijayawada. Many existing centers were set up in small areas with limited resources and infrastructure, which made it difficult to provide the specialized care children needed for proper development.
Starting with just two therapists, she founded Happy Child with a vision to offer children individualized guidance and high-quality rehabilitation services. The goal was never just to help children perform regular tasks but to guide them on career-oriented paths, ensuring they had the opportunity to build fulfilling futures.
What began as a small initiative has now grown into a thriving school with over1 00 dedicated staff members, serving children in Vijayawada and Vizag. Happy Child focuses on supporting children from underserved communities, including orphans and those from underprivileged families. Through therapy, education, and skill-building, Happy Child empowers children to lead independent and meaningful lives, ensuring they receive the resources and care they deserve.

Our Environment

At Happy Child Development and Rehabilitation Center, our environment is thoughtfully designed to foster growth, learning, and inclusivity for children with special needs. We understand that a positive, sensory-rich environment plays a crucial role in a child’s developmental journey, so we’ve created spaces that encourage exploration, independence, and social interaction.
Our facility includes dedicated areas tailored to various therapies, including physical, occupational, speech, and behavioral therapies. Each space is equipped with specialized equipment and tools that aid in skill-building, motor development, and sensory integration. Our therapy rooms are designed to be calming, allowing children to focus, engage, and progress without feeling overwhelmed. Additionally, our classrooms are structured to provide both individual attention and group interaction, facilitating peer engagement in a supportive atmosphere.
In addition to indoor facilities, our center has outdoor play areas designed to enhance physical activity, social skills, and motor coordination. Our playground features adaptive equipment that caters to various needs, promoting safe physical activity and fostering social interaction among children.

Swimming Pool Facility & Aquatic Therapy

Our state-of-the-art swimming pool not only provides a fun recreational space but also serves as a vital resource for aquatic therapy. With professional guidance, children engage in therapeutic water activities that support both physical and cognitive development.

One-on-One Child Therapy

We understand that every child has unique needs, which is why we offer one-on-one therapy sessions with professional therapists. These personalized sessions are designed to support each child's emotional, behavioral, and developmental growth in a caring and supportive setting.
