Early identification, analysis, and treatment of developmental delays
Early Intervention is a program that describes services that can be chosen to support children with developmental delays and disabilities.
The program may include Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy, etc. depending on the child’s limitations. Early intervention usually starts with an assessment that evaluates whether professional help is required.
Early Intervention aims to positively impact the child’s ability to overcome difficulties and learn new skills. It also focuses on physical skills, cognitive skills, communication, emotional health, social skills, and self-help.
Aids used in this therapy are assistive technology, speech and language services, audiology, physical therapy, psychological services, counseling, and nutrition services.
